Previsualization
Previsualization (also known as "previs" or "previz") is the pre-production process of visually mapping out scenes in a film, commercial, or music video prior to principal photography or shooting. You can use a combination of photography, storyboards, and animations. Renderings can range from modest drawings to 3d animations. Previs helps the director, cinematographer, some crew members, and even the editor understand camera direction, shot compositions, and editing a scene, and it serves to eliminate possible problems, complications and artistic direction before the money is spent on shooting.
